Ilkay Baseski

Ilkay Baseski is a Registered Dietitian (RD) and co-founder of Bite of Mind Podcast. She holds a BSc in Nutrition & Dietetics, a MSc in Human Nutrition, has completed an accredited dietetic internship, and is currently regulated as a registered dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).

Her guiding philosophy is one she returns to often: “If life gives you lemons, eat the whole lemon — the peel has fiber, too.”

To Ilkay, this is about more than fiber. It’s about taking what life hands you and finding value where others might overlook it. It’s about flexibility, resourcefulness, and choosing nourishment over rigid rules.

She believes nutrition isn’t about perfection or restriction but instead, nutrition is about curiosity, practicality, and finding sustainable habits that support both body and mind. In her practice, she values combining straightforward nutrition science with empathy and humor, helping people build confidence, reduce shame, and find joy in their daily eating habits.

Rachel Robinson

Rachel Robinson is a Registered Dietitian (RD), blogger, educator, and co-founder of Bite of Mind - a Podcast exploring the intersection of nutrition and mental health. She has a BSc in Psychology, MSc in Human Nutrition, has completed an accredited dietetic internship, and is currently regulated as a registered dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).

Rachel’s core philosophy is that balanced nutrition is the cornerstone of both physical and mental well-being. She acknowledges the deep connection between mental and physical health and the importance of proper nutrition for supporting mental clarity and emotional balance.

In her practice, Rachel utilizes a functional approach to nutrition, embracing the tenet that the body functions as an interconnected system, not just individual symptoms. She believes in a sustainable approach to nutrition, taking into account individual unique needs, backgrounds, preferences, and lifestyles.
